Supplier Code of Conduct

Code Adoption Date : 01/01/2025

Last Updated Date : 02/14/2025

INTRODUCTION

Our objective is to operate as a profitable and responsible online hat retailer while upholding social, ethical, and environmental principles for our shareholders, customers, employees, suppliers, and society as a whole. To achieve our objective, we recognize that the activities conducted through our supply chain can have an indirect impact on our social, ethical, and environmental performance. Therefore, we aim to work only with reputable suppliers and manufacturers that can produce goods for us under "acceptable conditions." This means operating lawfully, engaging in fair and honest dealings, ensuring that the people involved in production are not exploited, maintaining decent working conditions, and being mindful of environmental impact. This Code of Conduct outlines e4Hats' fundamental requirements for our suppliers and, in turn, their suppliers, which must be met to conduct business with us. A process of self-evaluation and independent inspection is in place to ensure its proper and practical application.

OUR COMMITMENT TO SUPPLIERS

We aim to pursue our business activities in what we consider to be an ethical and professional manner. Subject to the needs of our business, we aim to promote stable, sustainable, long-term relationships with our suppliers and other business partners. e4Hats intends to follow the principles of this Code within its own operations, and we have adopted social, ethical, and environmental principles and policies to this effect. We recognize that suppliers may need time to address areas in which they may not currently be in compliance, but we believe that compliance can be achieved through a process of continuous improvement.

e4Hats Code of Conduct

At e4Hats, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest ethical, social, and environmental standards in all our business operations. We believe that our success depends on creating a positive impact not only within our organization but also throughout our entire supply chain. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and standards that guide our business activities and ensures that all stakeholders, especially workers, are treated with respect and dignity. We expect everyone involved in our operations to uphold these values, promoting fairness, safety, and sustainability in every aspect of the business.

1. Employment Relationship

We will establish and maintain fair employment practices that respect workers' rights, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international labor laws. This includes adhering to the conditions of employment that safeguard workers' rights, promote fair treatment, and foster a respectful working environment where all employees feel valued and supported. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all employees and creating a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion.

2. Nondiscrimination

There shall be no discrimination based on gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group, or ethnic origin. All employment decisions including hiring, compensation, promotion, training, discipline, termination, or retirement shall be made based on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and performance. Personal characteristics should never influence or limit professional growth and opportunity. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals are treated with fairness and respect.

3. Harassment or Abuse

Every employee shall be treated with respect and dignity in the workplace. Any form of harassment whether physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal is strictly prohibited. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of abuse and bullying. Employees shall work in a safe and supportive environment where their wellbeing is a top priority. It is essential that all staff feel empowered to raise concerns and that those concerns are addressed promptly and with sensitivity.

4. Forced Labor

The use of forced labor, including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, and other forms of involuntary labor, is strictly prohibited. All employees must have the freedom to leave their employment and should not be subject to any undue restrictions on their freedom. We uphold the principle of voluntary labor and ensure that employees are hired under transparent, lawful, and ethical conditions. Coercion or deceitful practices are unacceptable in any form.

5. Child Labor

The legal minimum age requirements for employment shall be adhered to in all instances. No worker under the age of 15, or below the legal age for completing compulsory education (whichever is higher), shall be employed. We are committed to preventing child labor in any form across all aspects of our business, and we support initiatives that promote education and opportunities for young people instead of employment.

6. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Employees shall have the right to freely associate, join trade unions, and engage in collective bargaining without fear of retaliation. We fully respect the right of workers to form and join unions and to engage in negotiations for better wages, working conditions, and other employment-related matters. Employees should feel empowered to voice concerns and seek improvements within the framework of open, transparent communication with management.

7. Health, Safety, and Environment

A safe and healthy workplace is fundamental to our business practices. We provide a work environment that prevents accidents and injury and actively works to improve health and safety standards. All operations must comply with local and international health and safety regulations, and all workers must have access to adequate protection against health risks. We promote a culture of safety through regular training, assessments, and improvements. Additionally, we are committed to environmentally responsible practices that minimize our impact on the environment and promote sustainability.

8. Hours of Work

Employees shall not be required to work more than the regular and overtime hours allowed by the law of the country of employment. The regular workweek shall not exceed 48 hours, and employees shall receive at least one full day off every seven-day period. Overtime work should be voluntary, compensated at a premium rate, and never expected on a regular basis. In exceptional circumstances, regular and overtime hours should not exceed 60 hours per week. We also promote work-life balance and believe that a healthy balance between work and personal life is essential to employee satisfaction and productivity.

9. Compensation

Employees shall be compensated fairly for their work, receiving at least the minimum wage or the prevailing industry wage, whichever is higher. Compensation shall be sufficient to meet employees' basic needs, provide for their families, and allow for some discretionary income. We will also comply with all legal wage requirements and ensure that any benefits stipulated by law or contract are provided in a timely and fair manner. If employees’ compensation does not meet basic needs, we will work towards ensuring that wages are adjusted to provide a living wage, supporting their well-being and quality of life.
