UV 50+ Protection Outdoor Flap Cap

Is working out well for the person it was purchased for.

How can it possibly be UV 50 when it's mesh??

I bought this hat for my long runs. Took it on a 10 mile run on a hot day and it was good. Wish I had bought a white color one.

Love this hat but it's too small. Need to make them in different sizes.

Well made and fits nicely. The wide and long brim keeps the sun out of my eyes while riding my recumbent trike and the sun is kept off my neck and ears.

I have had several UV caps, even a couple of 'flap caps', but this one seems to take the cake! it is advertised/quoted to be a "ONE SIZE FITS MOST UP TO 7 1/4"... WELL, I DISAGREE!!! My mellon is rather large, 7 1/2 - 7 5/8 and IT FIT'S!!! More than likely due to the rear adjustanle string closure.... BONUS, I LOVE when that happens! I also have ..... a lack of natural fuzzy sun burn protection on my chrome dome, and have gotten burned wearing thin material caps said to be UV "TREATED" what a crock! This flap cap definitely has a UV material that will asuedly protect the delicate spot up there! The well thought out placement of the mesh material in the flaps and cap will ABSOLUTELY aid in the "breathing" or "air flow" feature in this cap when you are sailing, canoeing etc on the water, a gust will NOT send this cap into the water also. The bill is bigger than your average baseball cap which will absolutely keep the sun out of your eyes. I HIGHLY REOMEND this cap for those of you looking to REALLY REALLLY enjoy your spring, summer, AND fall! At the price it's at, I've paid more for MUCH LESS!

So far I have only gotten a chance to inspect this UV 50+ flap cap. I have a ...rather large mellon! Size 7 1/2-7 5/8, and this puppy fits... "LIKE A GLOVE" ...with the draw string closure in the rear, DESPITE it's 7 1/4 sizing as it states! BONUS! The material is exceptionally light and it definitely will be VERY breathable with all the mesh in both the cap and also in the flaps. The brim of the cap is larger than most ...ball caps which will definitely be a boon on thse days when the sun is beaming overhead. I do quite a bit of summer outdoor activite, from hiking in the bush, to canoeing almost every weekend and CAN'T WAIT to attack the elementswith this

This hat was everything I was looking for, and less! I wanted something light, simple, and breathabe, that would keep the sun off of my neck, but not limit visibility. This hat was PERFECT!!!
When i first got it, i was worried that the mesh sides would not protect the tops of my ears from the sun. But it worked perfecly! I also could see without obstruction, which is nice. I used it hiking in the Sierra Nevadas for a week and wore it every day!
